Worker Finds Fulfilling Job After Being Laid Off

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Alan Moniz, 59-years-old, was laid off from his factory job and unlike his other co-workers who were also laid off, decided he wanted to go back to school to get his occupational therapy degree so he could help the elderly. Moniz chose to do this because he is a cancer survivor, wanted to help other people, and knew that there are a lot of jobs in the health industry.
