Why Does Bill Maher Hate Working People?

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

I don’t know if it’s true that Bill Maher cavorts with hookers and loves to smoke dope – or, perhaps, simply supports the right of others to do so.  He certainly supports animal rights. So why does he hate working people so much?   Whatever the global impact of the oil industry, it’s takes a mighty big Hollywood ego to so cavalierly cast aside the needs of regular folks who work to make a hard living in or around oil.   But during two recent HBO Real Time broadcasts,  Maher made clear that such working folks are surely scum. Perhaps we can write it off as in-your-face entertainment, but  Maher and his sychophantic funny folk friend-guests seem to think they really matter.   Begging the question: do they?  Not to me.  I love a good movie or song just as much as the next cat, but who really cares?   If  Maher, Mayer and Martin just disappeared tomorrow, so?  Their work just don’t matta so much, eh?
